Department on Legal Regulation of Civil, Ecological Relations, Licensing and Foreign Economic Relations
Department on Legal Regulation of Civil, Ecological Relations, Licensing and Foreign Economic Relations is a rule-making structure element of the Ministry of justice that realizes function on legal support of law-making activities of The President of the Republic of Belarus, The National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, coordinates law-making process in the Belarusian government.
The scope of issues of the Department includes the following:
- civil legislation;
- business and economic legislation;
- legislation on environmental protection and rational usage of natural resources;
- banking activities legislation;
- investment legislation;
- particular issues concerning private international law.
The Department in accordance with its scope of issues prepares legal opinions on acts of legislation, investment, credit and other business agreements. The Department prepares acts’ of legislation drafts, makes proposals concerning improvement of legislation within the scope of its activities. The Department monitors law-making process of national governmental bodies, reviews citizens’ appeals. Department’s officials take part in public legal education process, by means of mass media as well.
